Trained at the Courtauld Institute of Art, Jenny has spent her working life restoring and conserving paintings.
As Jenny Archbold, she worked at the National Portrait Gallery for thirty years and has done freelance work for the Royal Academy of Arts, the Royal Collection and a number of other distinguished private collections. This has given her a special insight into artists' techniques, which she puts into practice using various different media including watercolour, gouache, oils, charcoal and pastel. She takes her watercolour paintbox when she travels and is always on the lookout for objects of interest and beauty. Tresco in the Isles of Scilly is a favourite location. In addition she works on various life studies and portraits in the studio.
